San Diego-based duo Hotfire delivered one of the most exciting releases last year on Night Bass. With “Tough Break”, their second EP for the label, the guys somehow managed to up the ante on originality and creativity. By restricting their sound palette, Hotfire managed to create a dark, deep and atmospheric set of undercover bangers, sharing a unique mix of house, techno and UKG.

The 2 London legends have molded one oft he most unique sounds in dance music, a sound that fits the label perfectly.The pair of songs on “Work It” captures the boys at the top of their creative game.The title track invokes the spirit of house with in an infectious, bouncy, feel-good groove. The flipside “Intermission” takes a turn into the darker and heavier side of Jack Beats with a bassline bubbling up from their underground UK roots. World wide release on March 18th.

Sinden is an originator. He is one of the foundations of where Night Bass comes from and I couldn’t be happier to have him as a friend and as an artist on the label. The Crystal Maze EP feels like an epic return of a giant, retaining the sound of his original roots while progressing leaps and bounds into new territory. The overall sound is spacious and atmospheric with heavy weighted bass lines riding on top of his signature jackin’ drums. Contributions from Bobby Brackins, TT The Artist and Petey Clicks add another layer of personality and depth to this  already unmissable EP.
